Our Objectives

Education and Training: Provide comprehensive training programs for the general public, leaders and organizations, and mental health professionals in the practice of skills and methods of Real Dialogue that are rooted in evidence-based interventions from mindfulness, psychoanalysis, emotional intelligence, and psychodrama.

Who We Are

The Center for Real Dialogue is dedicated to ending polarization in human relationships at home, at work, and in the world. Polarization fuels wars, damages relationships, reduces problem-solving, and fragments families and communities.

We educate individuals and groups to develop the skills and facilities to avoid polarization by lowering emotional threat, overcoming stereotypes and biases, and transforming breakdowns into breakthroughs. Our approach guarantees that both sides of a conflict are heard and understood. We develop and assess new potentials for emotional healing and mental well-being in relation to human differences and disagreements.

The woman in the middle, with short blonde hair, wears a beige turtleneck. The man on the right, with short gray hair, wears a brown blazer over a checkered shirt and is gesturing with his hand.

Our Vision

We envision a world where everyone is equipped with skills to reduce emotional threats during conflict, humanize differences, and learn from disagreements and conflicts in which all sides are heard and understood.

At home: We train mental health professionals to work with couples and other pairs in the family through Dialogue Therapy

At work: We educate and train individuals and groups to learn and practice the Skill of Real Dialogue during conflicts, and we train all interested parties in learning to facilitate difficult conversations using the Method of Real Dialogue

In the world: We offer podcasts and other online education and training to help individuals understand our human tendencies to create enemies and to move beyond these defensive reactions.
